This past February18th, a federal judge grew increasingly frustrated with one of the Trump Administration's Justice Department lawyers who could not help the court make any legal arguments connect with the latest Executive Order attempting to ban members of the Trans Community in serving in the armed forces. . Federal Judge Ana Reyes repeatedly questioned Attorney Jason Lynch in hopes of discerning the arguments behind the Order. After repeated attempts to understand, she finally said, "We’re dealing with unadulterated animus.”
"Unadulterated animus" means a completely pure or unmixed feeling of hostility, hatred, or ill will towards someone or something; essentially, a strong and unfiltered negative sentiment without any mitigating factors.
